Here's my thought
KPTB's lapdog was given an ultimateum by Teh One for whatever (Iran, PP, etc) "OR ELSE" KPTB will use whatever blackmail NoSuchAgency may have dug up on Boner.
...Boner called the bluff...now KPTB doesn't have a lapdog anymore.
